Frequently Asked Questions 1) Where are the locations to purchase Tickets (besides online)? You may purchases tickets at our kiosks located at the Marietta Transfer Center or the Cumberland Transfer Center. The hours of operation are from 6am – 6pm Monday through Friday at both locations. You may also come into our main office located at 463 Commerce Park Dr. Suite 114, Marietta, GA 30060 between the hours of 8am-5pm Monday through Friday or call 770-428-1218 to place your order by phone. You may now also purchase them at any MARTA ticket vending machines located at the various MARTA stations or their Ride Stores. CCT tickets can also be loaded onto a breeze card at any of these locations but cannot be loaded online. 2) Why is there no Monthly discount for Person's under age 18 for a monthly pass? There is no discounted monthly youth Pass. Since there is no monthly discounted youth pass perhaps you can purchase 3 of the 10-ride passes at $13.50 each which would be a total of $40.50 for 30 rides or 6 of them for 60 rides at a cost of $81.00. 3) What is the difference between an Express and a Regular Monthly pass? An express pass is used for the commuters who travel direct to downtown Atlanta from areas like Acworth and Hiram. The regular pass is for our local routes which make multiple stops within the Cobb County service area. 4) How do I obtain a breeze card and how much does it cost? You can obtain a Breeze Card by contacting MARTA at 404-848-5000, purchasing it any MARTA Ride Store, or you may purchase it from any vending machine located inside of any MARTA Rail Stations. The cost of the card is $5.00. When purchasing the card at the Ride Stores or vending machines, there is a minimum purchase of $6 required; the cost of the card itself, plus adding at least $1.00 in stored value to the card. Purchases can be made using debit cards, credit cards, or cash. After you have purchased the card you will need to contact MARTA and register your card for Balance Protection. 5) What is Balance Protection and why do I need to register my card? In the event your card gets damaged, lost or stolen, having your card registered protects you from the loss of any passes or stored value (cash) you may have on your card. Your only cost will be to pay $5.00 for a replacement card. If you have any CCT passes or stored value that you loaded on your card through CCT, you would contact CCT to transfer those items to your new card. If you have any MARTA passes or stored value loaded through MARTA, you would contact MARTA to transfer those items to your new card. It may be necessary for you to contact both agencies if you loaded passes or stored value using both companies. If you ever need to get a replacement card, you will need to register the new card as well. 6) My employer issues my CCT pass to me through payroll deduction. Can I take that pass to a CCT office and have it loaded onto a Breeze Card? Unfortunately, that is not an option at this time. The pass has to be loaded onto the Breeze Card at the time of purchase. 7) Why doesn’t my Breeze Card work on the CCT buses? There could be many reasons for this but most likely it would be because there is no valid CCT fare on the card. When you purchase MARTA fare and load it on your Breeze Card, it is only valid when you originate your trip on Marta. When originating your trip on CCT, you must have valid CCT fare or stored value on the card. 8) Do I have to pay CCT and MARTA if I need to ride both to reach my destination? When you exit MARTA, a transfer is automatically loaded onto your Breeze Card; which allows you to transfer to CCT free of charge. If you do not use a Breeze product and come through the MARTA system, you will need to pay $1.50 to board CCT. From the time you initiate your trip, you have three hours (and up to four transfers) to reach your destination. When you prepare to return and you board a CCT bus, you must have a valid CCT pass or stored value on your Breeze Card; otherwise you will receive an error message of “insufficient funds” and will be required to pay CCT a fare $1.50. |
